How does the BBB Video Series Affiliate Program work?
Once you're approved as a BBBVS Affiliate, you'll receive revenue share from all net sales of our video titles that result from a hyperlink from your site to ours. Our commission structure is currently at twenty (20) percent.
EXAMPLE: At the end of every month, BBBVS Affiliate managers will calculate total net earnings for your account. If your total net earnings amount to $3,200.00, a Royalty Payment of $640.00 will be issued.
(See our Affiliate Agreement to better understand our program). You'll be able to access your acquired revenue and statistics on a daily basis via your online account.
How do I know I am approved?
Once your online application is complete, BBBVS will review your application and contact you directly.
What does it cost to join the BBB Video Series Affiliate Program?
Absolutely nothing. This is a complimentary service provided by the BBBVS in hopes to broaden our reach to educate consumers.
Will BBBVS promote my site in return?
Yes, there are opportunities to promote your site on BBBvideo.com, and additionally becoming a National or Local Sponsor of a video title. Co-branding your name with the Better Business Bureau is a valuable tool to advance your name past the clutter of businesses in today's marketplace. Setting Up Links
How do I create links to the BBB Video Series pages?
After being approved, you will be able to access your online account at bbbvideo.com/aff-login. We will send you an acceptance email will your username and password after the approval process. Once logged in, you will have access to links and banners that can be modified to promote certain video programs, specific resources, or even particular pages on BBBvideo.com you would like to promote. Once you've chosen a banner or link, we will create a tag that will allow you to establish links to our site.
What is my responsibility as a BBB Video Series Affiliate?
Your responsibility is with all requirements outlined in the "Affiliate Agreement". In addition, affiliates agree not to misuse the BBB's trademark.
What is BBBVS's responsibility to its Affiliates?
BBB Video Series Services will provide you with the links and support you need as an Affiliate including tracking and reporting statistics online. We will provide support by phone, (800) 597-1686, or by e-mail at affiliates@bbbvideo.com. We are also responsible for all aspects of the users' experience on the BBB Video Series consumer site.
Will you help me with my site?
If you have any questions about any matter relating to the link on your site, we will do our best to help you with any problems you may have. Please contact us at affiliates@bbbvideo.com, or you may login to your account and contact us from there.
Can I use content from the BBB Video Series site?
All content on BBBvideo.com is licensed and copyrighted. The only exceptions are the resources provided to you through your online account. If interested in certain content from BBB Video Series, please contact us at sponsors@bbbvideo.com.
Can I use the BBB Video Series name and logo on my site?
You can use the Equifax name and logo on your site as provided in the "banners" area of your online account. Any unauthorized of the federally trademarked BBB logos is prohibited.
Can I change links whenever I want?
Yes. Please visit BBBvideo.com/affiliates as often as you like, and create new links and/or banners. If there are special needs, please don't hesitate to email us at affiliates@bbbvideo.com.
What video Topic should I choose for my business?
The BBB Video Series is directed to specific consumer complaints. Every year the BBB posts a list of the "Top Consumer Complaints" the BBB receives. We take these topics and create a video to address these concerns. We recommend sticking to a topic you and your business addresses. For example, our video program Identity Theft would be best suited for Credit Unions, Banks, and Credit Report Services. Our title Crash Course would benefit a business dealing with Insurance, Auto Repair, Traffic Safety, and Attorneys. If you need help choosing, email us at affiliates@bbbvideo.com.
Where do I place my banners and links?
To receive most out of your banners and/or links, placing them in high volume areas is the most beneficial to you. We also suggest placing our specific video banners in places that are most relevant to the subject of the video. Make it a "one-stop" shopping experience for your customer.
Reporting
How are orders tracked and credited to my site?
Orders are tracked using tags placed in the links and banners we provide for you. These tags will identify all sales of consumer products during the user's session that resulted from the BBBVS link on your site. Reports are updated daily and are available in your account details. Login at www.bbbvideo.com/affiliate/login.php.
Do I get commission from all sales?
You get commission on all consumer product sales in the session resulting from the BBB Video Series' link on your site. However, any returns and/or cancellations will be deducted from your revenue share balance. Our current commission structure is twenty (20) percent.
When will I be paid?
Payments will be made monthly. There is a minimum requirement of $20 per month. If your sales do not meet this minimum requirement, your balance will be carried over to the next month.
How do I change billing/contact information in my profile?
You may change your personal information anytime in your online account. Login at www.bbbvideo.com/affiliate/login.php.
Sales and Reports
How will I monitor my sales from day to day?
Reports are updated on a daily basis. You will create your own UserID and password that will allow you to access your sales reports via the web at www.bbbvideo.com/affiliate/login.php.
